48 people were shot during gun-control filibuster, but 11 were in democrat-run Chicago

At this point, it’s been well-reported that 48 people were shot during the Senate’s 15-hour filibuster on gun control last week, but there’s an important detail in that statistic that the mainstream liberal media seems to be forgetting — or purposely refusing to mention.

Of the shootings, Vox reports that, “As politicians recounted stories of gun violence before the Senate, there were 38 shootings that killed 12 people and injured 36 more across America.”

Out of the 48 people shot during the brief period of time, 11 of them were in Democrat-run Chicago — a city that is known for its strict gun laws. What does this teach us? Perhaps that criminals do not and will not obey gun restrictions, and those who can’t legally obtain firearms are still finding ways to obtain them. And yet, there’s little doubt that the Constitution-hating liberals will continue to press their beliefs on the American people as if there’s nothing to learn from this statistic.

As leftists continue to push their anti-Second Amendment agenda, they continue to ignore the fact that the most dangerous place in America is run by democrats. It’s something they frequently choose not to acknowledge. Much like radical Islam, the dangers of Chicago are the Fight Club of the Regressive Left. They can’t talk about it. Regardless of how dangerous, important, and newsworthy it is, the Regressive Left just can’t talk about it.

If we’re ever going to advance as a country, we need the mainstream media to put a stop to their incessant political correctness and desire to push forward various agendas, and start reporting on the truth. We know that liberals hate guns, but it’s time for them to address the issues in an honest manner. When it comes to gun control and the Second Amendment, that starts with what’s happening in Chicago — and why.
