The far-left New York Times is calling on Twitter to ban Infowars host Owen Shroyer for disrupting Monday’s House impeachment proceedings by livestreaming himself calling out House Judiciary Chairman Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) for committing treason.
As to be expected, it was a tumultuous start to the week with Shroyer making his voice heard in the committee chamber, prompting his immediate ejection by Capitol Police. But this apparently wasn’t enough punishment, as The Times now wants Shroyer to be permanently removed from Twitter.
In an op-ed piece, Michael Levinson of The Times linked Shroyer to his longtime employer, Alex Jones, who like Natural News and Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has seen his media empire scrapped from social media for alleged “misinformation” – meaning information that contradicts the deep state narrative.
Levinson pointed out that Shroyer currently has a “verified” Twitter account along with some 120,000-plus followers, all of whom Levinson wants to see forcibly disengaged from Shroyer with permanent censorship.
“Infowars, the website founded by Alex Jones that traffics in conspiracy theories, has been largely banned by Apple, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube,” writes Levinson in the opener to his hit piece against Shroyer and Jones.
“But one of the site’s personalities still managed to disrupt the House impeachment hearing on Monday, using his verified Twitter account to carry out a publicity stunt,” he added, trailing from there into trying to make the case that Shroyer should be permanently banned from all social media.
Shroyer’s “crime,” just to be clear, was to boldly stand up at the onset of Monday’s impeachment circus to declare that Nadler and the Democratic Party at large are committing treason, not President Trump.
“You are, Jerry Nadler – you’re the one committing treason, America is done with this,” Shroyer shouted. “America is sick of the treason committed by the Democrat Party.”
None of this is false, of course, as demonstrated by President Trump’s soaring approval rating. And Shroyer was escorted out of the chamber in the middle of his rant, which should have been the end of it.
But to Levinson and The Times, the end will not have arrived until Shroyer has had his online voice completely and permanently silenced – this being the fascist mindset of the pseudo-journalistic hacks who work in the mainstream media.
While Shroyer’s disruption may have been unwelcomed in light of the circumstances, it certainly wasn’t illegal. Like any good patriot, Shroyer took the opportunity to make his voice heard during a sham, witch hunt impeachment hearing that seeks to oust a lawfully elected president from office simply because the Left doesn’t like him.
This isn’t a justifiable reason to impeach a president, of course. But this is what the Democrats are attempting to do, which prompted Shroyer to be a man and let it be known that at least he isn’t planning to stand idly by and do nothing while the remaining traces of our Republic get flushed down the toilet by corrupt tyrants.
The First Amendment is still the law of the land, and Shroyer’s actions were the embodiment of that, whether Levinson and The Times like it or not. And hopefully Shroyer will inspire many others to do the same – that is, until he’s inevitably axed from social media, severely limiting his reach to any formidable audience.
“Of course, the real reason [The Times] would like Infowars taken down is to be able to control and steer the narrative going into the 2020 election.
